The first time I met Dr. Tamurah I was wearing a long sleeve blazer, and the very first thing she said to me was "Does Seattle mean anything to you?." I pulled up my sleeves to reveal my Seattle space needle & PNW tattoo I have covering my entire arm. I had just booked a trip to Seattle in consideration of moving there and was due to head there in just a week (right before seeing Dr. Tamurah). She encouraged me to go and said I had even lived a past life in the PNW where I was a Native woman with a baby on my back that enjoyed fishing. She knew I had lived there before in this life and asked why I turned down the opportunity to live there again. I actually HAD been there on an assignment and offered a job years prior but something made me decline it and I never really thought leaving was the right decision.
Dr. Tamurah told me to go back and that I would meet my husband there while at a coffee shop. She also said I would get a job with an old connection and to take it.
Well of course knowing that you could say that me knowing that would be what compelled me to get a job in Washington, but here is what the even crazier part is- I DID reach out to past work colleagues in Seattle, and applied for jobs, but everyone I knew here wasn't hiring. I ended up applying for another job and when they interviewed me it turns out one of their Vice Presidents knew me from another company!!! I got the job and made my plan to move to Washington.
She also knew great details about my family, my mom's health history, and two people close to me that had passed. It was incredible talking to her and getting assurance that the path I was trying to head down seemed perfectly aligned with the universe.
The second time I Dr. Tamurah she said she saw a whole new me moving to Seattle, that I would change my hair and change my clothes and go to a park frequently. A lot of joy at that park- I would one day push my child there (I have always wanted a child).
What's crazy is that has all become true and with no effort on my end. I had packed all of my work clothes into one suitcase and told the movers not to pack suitcases into my pod. When I arrived in Seattle, I realized I did not in fact have my suitcase and it was packed in my pod behind ALL of my belongings- there was no way I could get to it- so guess what?! All new clothes lol. Then, one night late after a few margaritas I saw a video of Ella Langley with short bangs and decided to cut mine. It was only a few days later when someone asked why I had changed my hair that I even realized Dr. Tamurah had said I would! Finally, there is a park I go to everyday by sheer accident. I usually prefer to walk my dog on the sidewalk in our neighborhood- but we happen to be staying somewhere with no neighborhood so we have to walk somewhere for her to go to the bathroom. By chance I walked around the building and saw a trail and where did it lead?! To a park with a swingset. Incredible!

"As a fine artist, I often find inspiration from Masters who have preceded me. But during her visit, Dr. Tamurah had an exciting experience when deceased Master Picasso shut the lights on and off to get her attention.
What followed was a fun discourse from Picasso through Dr. Tamurah, regarding his thoughts on my painting techniques. A very 'colorful' character himself, Picasso suggested I integrate bolder colors and brush strokes into my creative works. He went on to share his thoughts on many subjects, such as the right kind of dog Tamurah needs, his thoughts on passion for inspiration and described his favorite home in detail.
Of particular interest was his asking Dr. Tamurah and me if we knew his personal symbol. Well, of course, I did -- as I am very familiar with Picasso. However, Dr. Tamurah is not an art connoisseur but was able to describe in detail the symbol he showed her: A horned black bull, something Picasso used in hundreds of his works!
I completed our interaction by sending a feast via thought to Picasso and his friends in spirit, which he indeed did receive. Dr. Tamurah observed him at a long banquet table alongside his favorite chums, eating and clinking celebratory glasses of champagne and chianti!"
